For a long time I would beat myself up for failing to have the textbook morning routine.
The gurus show us a perfect morning routine, these perfect situations of calm tranquility and relaxation to get focused on your big goal, your mindset and your body.
Perhaps you read the articles and feel like it’s impossible for you to. And that’s why I wanted to talk about this – it’s my approach to incorporating the advice for real people and real life!
Why starting the day in the right mindset is so important
Now as a mum of 2, working a corporate career and business, I had to learn how to win the morning.
Because we know that when we start right, we get better clarity, improved motivation, better mood & better focus. And instead of reactively passing through the day feeling out of control. Losing day after day to the busyness, we can attend to our mind and body. So that we get the energy to get set up and thrive.
In this episode, I share the challenges and undoubtedly you will have some of these, but most importantly some healthy habits and even productivity hacks so that you can:
- Be better prepared (even when you have kids to get ready)
- Stick to healthier habits – for the whole family.
- Still, have fun together in the mornings
- Incorporate envisaging that amazing future ahead of you

(it’s about quality not quantity)
- Hydrate
- Exercise
- Get in the outdoors
- Connect with your close ones
- Visualize your future daily
My top hacks that save time & energy for a family
- Make sure school bags and clothes are ready the night before (even lining up the whole week’s school clothes on a shelf!)
- Reduce decision making – breakfast, clothes etc decide everything in advance
Deciding no matter what happened that night or that morning as soon as you can, reset and start the day again. Show up present, connected and determined to work towards your goal.
